Where is Lake Garda?
Lake Garda is Italy's largest lake and it's located in Northern Italy. Please visit our Travel Tips page for more information on how to get there.
Is this happening over Labor Day Weekend?
It is! Although, they don't celebrate Labor Day in Italy, we hope the long weekend will help aid in your travel plans.
What’s the dress code for the Wedding Day?
Formal Garden Attire. The weather might be hot and we recommend light, breathable formal wear. For a more detailed explanation of what to wear, including recommended shoes for ladies, please read our Wedding Itinerary page.
What's the timeline of the Wedding Day?
The Wedding Day will begin in the early afternoon and continue into the late evening. We highly recommend reading our Wedding Itinerary page from top to bottom, as this will tell you what you need to know.
Is transportation provided?
We believe the best way to experience the lake is from the water. On the Wedding Day, we'll be taking you by boat to Isola Del Garda in the middle of the lake for our ceremony which begins at 2:30pm. We'll take you back to shore for our reception at Torre San Marco in Gardone Riviera Village. Shuttles will be provided from Torre San Marco to take you back to your hotels from the hours of 10:00 pm to 1:00 am.
For the Farewell Event, boats will be provided after Brunch.
Can I bring a guest or a plus-one?
We do have limited space and all invites are intended for two guests. Single guests are permitted to bring a plus-one.
Are children welcome?
Due to the nature of our wedding and the locations, we kindly ask that children not attend. Thank you for understanding.
How is the Weather?
Lake Garda can be hot in the month of August. We've selected the last week of the month when the weather typically starts to cool. Lake Garda also is famous for a consistent breeze coming off the mountains that should keep the weather pleasant.
Will there be accommodations nearby?
Yes! Our reception is located in Gardone Riviera Village. There are many great hotels and apartments to rent in the immediate area. Please see our Travel Tips page for hotel information.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Absolutely! We will have professional photographers capturing the moment, however if you feel you'd like to take pictures, we just ask that you please be respectful and not stand to take a picture that would block the photographer during the Ceremony.
Is there a Wedding registry?
We do have a Honeymoon Fund that you can, but are absolutely not required to contribute to. We'll post it here on our website soon.
If I plan to extend my trip, what's nearby?
There are many incredible towns around the lake that are worth visiting and plenty of activities to do around Garda in the summer. There are also some incredible cities and places in Northern Italy that are within driving distance from Lake Garda. Verona is one of our personal favorites. This is the town made famous by Romeo & Juliet and it has great shopping and a mini Colosseum where they do concerts. Verona is our top pick for a day trip from the lake. For the mountain lovers, we also recommend visiting The Dolomites which are just incredible, Milan for the fashion lovers, and of course Venice, a place like no other! If you're looking to venture to Southern Italy during your journey, we of course love the Amalfi Coast (where we got engaged) and Capri - the island is one of our most favorite places in all of Italy!
